Die spannende Analyse der Journalistin Tissy Bruns verdeutlicht, dass dabei in unserer "Medienrepublik" den politischen Akteuren der Bezug zur Wirklichkeit mehr und mehr verloren geht. Die Kluft zwischen Regierenden und Regierten wird immer größer. Die Folgen dieses "Jahrmarktes der Eitelkeiten" sind fatal: Die Bürger wenden sich ab und interessieren sich nicht mehr für Politik. Die Autorin belässt es jedoch nicht bei der reinen Kritik, sie zeigt auch, was sich ändern muss, damit die Situation sich nicht noch verschlimmert.
