In dieser Arbeit werden die Unfallorte, Unfallgrößen und der Zeitpunkt eines möglichen Tankerunfalls in der Deutschen Bucht beschrieben. Die Prozesse, die nach einem Unfall stattfinden, werden ausführlich diskutiert. Anhand einer Skalenanalyse der prozesse wird ein mathematisches Modell entwickelt, das aus zwei Teilen besteht: Einem Strömungsmodell und einem Öldriftmodell. Das Strömungsmodell wird getrieben durch Wind, Gezeiten, Oberwasserzulauf und horizontale Dichtegradienten. Dieses Modell wird mit Pegelmessungen und Strömungsmessungen von konventionellen Strommessern und HF-Radar verifiziert. Das Öldriftmodell wird anhand des Bravo Ekofiskunfalls verifiziert. Die hohe Rechengeschwindigkeit des neuen semiimpliziten Verfahrens erlaubt, bei realistischem Windinput wie zB einer wettervorhersage, das entwickelte Modell als Vorhersagemodell im Routinebetrieb laufen zu lassen. Mit diesem Strömungsmodell wird der Strömungsatlas erzeugt, der eine zusammenfassende Darstellung der Stromsysteme im Watt gibt. Mit dem Öldriftmodell werden verschiedene Trajektorien unter unterschiedlichsten Umweltbedingungen berechnet. (MOD)
