Die vorliegende Studie verfolgt einen dreifachen Zweck: 1. Die Festlegung der physikalisch-meteorologischen Kon stanten von Muottas-Muraigl zum Gebrauch der Leiter und Mitarbeiter des "Schweizerischen Institutes für Hoch gebirgs-Physiologie und Tuberkuloseforschung in Davos" und des "Observatoriums Davos"; 2. die Feststellung der im alpinen Hochgebirge mit dem Auf stieg von rund 1500 m auf rund 2500 m Höhe verbundenen klimatischen Differenzen, also Differenzen zwischen Orten, welche unter dem Sammelbegriff "Hochgebirgsklima" der Therapie nutzbar gemacht werden; 3. die Aufstellung eines Beispieles, wie nach des Verfassers in 20jä. hriger Forschungstätigkeit auf diesem Gebiete ge sammelten Erfahrungen und nach dem heutigen Stande der Wissenschaften meteorologisch -physikalisch -physiologische Studien zweckmäßig und möglichst vollständig durchgeführt werden können. Vernachlä. ssigt ist hier das Gebiet der Radio aktivität; in den Publikationen über Davos hat es Berück sichtigung gefunden. Das erste Ziel hat infolge vorläufig zu geringen, wenn auch zweckmäßig über das Jahr verteilten Materials nur recht un vollkommen erreicht werden können, so daß im Titel dieser Schrift nur von "Grundzügen" gesprochen werden konnte. Die Tabellen übersicht orientiert darüber, wo und in welcher Form die Kon stanten zu finden sind; sie dürften mit für biologische Zwecke ge nügender Sicherheit über alle interessierenden Elemente, insbesondere auch die Strahlung in einzelnen Spektralbezirken, Aufschluß geben, dergestalt, daß man an meteorologisch ungestörten Tagen für jede beliebige Tagesstunde jedes beliebigen Tages die zugehörigen Werte entnehmen kann, also einer bezüglichen simultanen Begleitmessung nicht bedarf.
