Assistententagung Öffentliches Recht in Regensburg 2018. Björnstjern Baade; Dr. Tristan Barczak, LL.M.; Jann Ferlemann; Katharina Goldberg; Jannika Jahn; Dr. Raffaela Kunz; Benjamin Märkli, M.A. (Law); Dr. Fabian Michl, LL.M. (Edinburgh); Dr. Anne Mirjam Schneuwly, M.B.L.-HSG; Daniel Toda Castán; Dr. Markus Vašek; Dr. Johann Justus Vasel, LL.M. (NYU); MMag. Dr. Katharina Weiser; Dr. Astrid Wiik.

Personal independence and objectivity are the hallmarks of courts obeying the rule of law. Nonetheless, rulings are not drawn up in a vacuum. Courts and judges operate in a complex web of relationships and are subject to multifarious influences – institutional and functional, internal and external to the trial at hand. Judicial rulings are affected by various actors in society, the media, politics, public administration and academia and, in turn, affect these areas. The contributions to this anthology document the results of the 58th Research Assistants‘ Conference in Public Law in Regensburg in 2018. Young scholars from German-speaking countries examine the options and opportunities, but also the legal limits, of such reciprocal effects, taking different methodological and sectoral perspectives. Thus, they paint a novel picture of how rulings in the field of public law come about. With contributions byDr. Björnstjern Baade; Dr. Tristan Barczak, LL.M.; Jann Ferlemann; Katharina Goldberg; Jannika Jahn; Dr. Raffaela Kunz; Benjamin Märkli, M.A. (Law); Dr. Fabian Michl, LL.M.
