Allen und insbesondere der Leseforschung ist klar: Jungen brauchen besondere Pflege, wenn es um die Leselust und -fähigkeit geht. Sprich: Lesefutter, das packt, Helden die medial vertraut sind und entsprechendes Identifikationspotenzial aufweisen. Der Fischer-Verlag hat sich bei der Übernahme dieser amerikanischen Reihe für Super- und Batman entschieden. Zorro, König Artus oder die Musketiere sollen folgen. Batman kämpft in dem Eröffnungsband gegen den Ex-Psychiater Scarecrow, der die Ängste der Menschen erforscht hat und entsprechend zu manipulieren weiss. Ein entfachter Nebel soll die Bewohner von Gotham City in den Wahnsinn treiben, doch Batman kann die Katastrophe verhindern und den Bösewicht einlochen. Reich und comical illustriert hat man das Bändchen in bestenfalls 10 Minuten konsumiert und man darf sich dann einem Fragebogen stellen, der das Leseverständnis unter Beweis stellen soll. Bibliotheken werden über die auszufüllenden Felder nicht wirklich erfreut sein, aber damit kann man leben. Das Konzept ist simpel, die Wirkung ungewiss, aber ein Versuch ist besser, als gar nichts zu tun. Also ja! Ab 8
