Miller: "Der Mensch und sein Körper" bei uns zum ersten Mal veröffentlicht (BA 6/84), jetzt unverändert in Inhalt und Preis neu aufgelegt. Ein Atlas der Lebens- und Körperfunktionen, der durch ein aufwendiges System von dreidimensionalen Bildern sowie durch Pappschieber beweglichen und ausklappbaren Teilen versucht, physiologische Funktionen im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes begreifbar zu machen. Was zum einen dank der hochkomplizierten Zusammenhänge (etwa beim Blutkreislauf) nicht immer gelingen kann, zum anderen natürlich auch das mechanistische Bild von der "Mensch-Maschine" reproduziert. Sieht man davon ab, berücksichtigt man weiterhin, daß der Band nicht sehr belastungsintensiv ist, in Bibliotheken - vor allem wohl in Kinder- und Jugendabteilungen - als erster sinnlicher Einstieg in die Thematik brauchbar. Ab ca. 10 Jahren. Auch in Schulbibliotheken.
