Abstract AbstractIn der Studie wird europäische Öffentlichkeit in Form einer der europäischen Integration folgenden Aufmerksamkeitsstruktur in Lettland, Polen und Tschechien erhoben. Für die EU-Berichterstattung zuständige Journalisten in den relevanten Medien wurden zu ihren Beobachtungen der nationalen Öffentlichkeiten, den Arbeitsweisen und Arbeitsbedingungen in den Medien sowie ihrem Interesse an der EU und ihren persönlichen Qualifikationen für ihren Job befragt. Die qualitativen Ergebnisse zeigen u.a., wie EU-Themen während der Beitrittsverhandlungen bis kurz nach dem Beitritt relativ leicht von den Journalisten bearbeitet werden konnten, während es ihnen heute wieder mehr Schwierigkeiten bereitet, das Interesse und die Ressourcen dafür zu mobilisieren
