In DAX-Unternehmen gibt es eine recht stabile Zahl von ca. 200 CEOs. Eine dieser Top-Führungspositionen zu erlangen und zu behalten, stellt also eine große Herausforderung dar. Wer diese oder eine andere Stelle in der obersten Managementriege erreichen will, sollte den Ratgeber von Wolfgang Eckelt lesen. Voraussetzungen sind die Bereitschaft zu höchster Leistung bereits in jungen Jahren, eine Strategie, Durchhaltevermögen, die Kenntnis der richtigen Netzwerke und ein guter Coach. Eckelt ("Kandidaten lesen", Springer Gabler, 2016, hier nicht besprochen) kennt den Aufstieg auf der Karriereleiter aus eigener Erfahrung und ist heute als Personalberater für die Besetzung von Spitzenpositionen u.a. in der Autobranche zuständig. Das Buch liest sich recht flüssig und ist für Topkarriereambitionierte als Inspiration sicher nicht uninteressant. Aber ob die - eher kleine - und schwer beschäftigte Zielgruppe es wirklich in der Bibliothek ausleiht? Kein passender Vergleichstitel bekannt. Für "normalsterbliche" Führungskräfte sind M. Lehky (ID-G 46/16) und S. Demann (ID-B 38/14) deutlich praxisorientierter. (3) Diana Rupprecht
