"Pina Bausch hat in den 70er Jahren ein Tanztheater der besonderen Art geschaffen. Das Vermächtnis der international renommierten Choreographin und Tänzerin ist ein Welttheater, das nicht belehrt, sondern Erfahrungen erlebbar macht. In Collagen aus kleinen, emotionalen Geschichten und poetischen Exkursionen untersuchen ihre Stücke, was uns unsere Gefühle näherbringt und was uns von ihnen entfernt. Die Dokumentation anlässlich ihres 10. Todestages wirft einen Blick in die Geschichte dieses einmaligen Tanztheaters und fragt nach seiner Zukunft: Wie kann ein solches Erbe wachgehalten werden, wie kann Pinas Schaffen weitergegeben werden? Inwiefern wird sich das Ensemble auf neue Ideen einlassen? [...]. Der Film schaut hinter die Kulissen der Stücke "1980", "Arien" und "Palermo Palermo" und macht die Aufführung des neuen Stücks "Bon Voyage, Bob" von Alan Lucien Øyen in London erlebbar. Pina Bausch begann die Erarbeitung eines Stücks, indem sie ihren Tänzern Fragen stellte. Die Tänzer brachten ihre Persönlichkeit ein, sie erzählten von ihren Sehnsüchten und Nöten. [...].
