TON-W 'Klezmer Pastorale' heißt die neue CD des Ensemble Noisten. Wir schreiben das Jahr 2020. Ganz Deutschland feiert den 250. Geburtstag des Komponisten Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 1827). Zum Weltumwelttag am 5.6.2020 sollten wir aus diesem Anlass zusammen mit dem Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal das Programm Global Players, Beethoven trifft Klezmer und Sufimusik aufführen. Dieses Konzert ist wegen Corona ausgefallen. Deswegen entschlossen wir uns zur Produktion der CD Klezmer Pastorale, Beethoven trifft Klezmer und andere musikalische Grenzgänge. Jetzt mag sich der Leser fragen, was Beethovens Musik mit jüdischer Klezmermusik zu tun hat. Jede Menge, lautet unsere Antwort nach der kreativen Auseinandersetzung mit Beethovens reichem musikalischen Erbe. Ludwig van Beethoven war ein Freigeist, ein Visionär. Für uns war die kreative Begegnung mit der Musik Beethovens eine große Bereicherung. Der Impuls, eine Brücke zwischen der Musik Beethovens und unserer Idee von Klezmer-Weltmusik zu bauen, war äußerst inspirierend. So wird in der CD Klezmer Pastorale u. a. die Musik des ersten Satzes aus seiner sechsten Sinfonie, der Pastorale, zu einem jüdischen Klezmertanz. Beethovens Chor der Derwische aus dem Festspiel Die Ruinen von Athen verwandelt sich zu einem Erlebnis der Weltmusik. Weitere musikalische Leckerbissen wie z. B. der Western Skotshne, ein Hüpftanz in der Prärie, oder der Erdmänner Klezmer gesellen dazu.
