Jahrestag des Woodstock-Festivals im August 2019 ("Woodstock", ID-A 21/19). Für einen Einstieg in die Rockmusik, ihre Geschichte, ihre Genres, ihre grundlegenden musikalischen Elemente, ihr Einfluss auf Mode, Film und Literatur, ihre "Klassiker" - Songs und Künstler betreffend - und vieles mehr liefern der Herausgeber und die weiteren Autoren kurze prägnante Antworten. 50 Einträge mit je 300 Wörtern und einer Illustration (Fotocollage) zeichnen die Rockmusik von den Anfängen bis heute. Es gibt keinen roten Faden; ein Index kann als Einstieg dienen, aber das Buch eignet sich zum Durchblättern und als Ergänzung zu detaillierteren Einführungen. Bunt gemischt werden Begriffe wie in einem Sachlexikon erklärt, Interpreten Stilen zugeordnet, 3-Sekunden-Biografien oder einige der einflussreichsten Interpreten in Profilen doppelseitig behandelt. Interessant sind die Querverweise auf verwandte Themen im Buch an anderer Stelle.
