L'histoire d'Anne Wiazemsky et de Robert Bresson a d'autres ramifications. Elle se raconte aussi - plus indirectement - dans Les Anges, 1943 (histoire d'un film), qui vient de paraître en DVD. Ce documentaire sensible, signé Anne Wiazemsky, arrive en complément d'une version restaurée des Anges du péché, premier long métrage du réalisateur. Robert Bresson fut son premier cinéaste. Elle raconte sa première fois à lui, lorsqu'il tourne à Paris, jeune encore, presque inconnu, un drame situé dans un couvent de dominicaines. En pleine Occupation, le film fera sensation. Retournant avec une grande tendresse les armes de Bresson contre lui, Anne Wiazemsky interroge aussi, dans Les Anges, l'énigme de sa propre expérience. Pour les besoins du documentaire, elle a rencontré celles qui furent les "jeunes filles" de 1943, Jany Holt et Renée Faure, interprètes dans Les Anges du péché. Entre elles et la jeune fille de 1965, Anne Wiazemsky fait le lien en reprenant les commentaires des deux femmes en ouverture de son roman. Jany Holt et Renée Faure y livrent en quelques lignes leur vision de Robert Bresson. Mais, une seule question compte pour l'écrivain qui fut cette actrice de 18 ans: "Etait-il amoureux de vous?" (Le Temps, Schweiz)
