En el presente paper se procura analizar y reflexionar como los habitantes de barriospobres de la Ciudad viven su barrio, cómo construyen el espacio social que los alberga,cuáles son sus estrategias individuales y colectivas.Estas reflexiones surgen de investigaciones sobre segregación residencial socio-económica realizadas en la Ciudad de Córdoba desde el año 2005 a partir de los cualesse procuró abordar un análisis de la segregación residencial socio-económica y lasrepresentaciones de quienes viven en espacios segregados.El agrupamiento espacial de hogares con similares atributos socio-económico-culturalesgenera áreas urbanas residenciales muy homogéneas en función de dichascaracterísticas y muy heterogéneas con su entorno configurando una ciudad conpobreza y riqueza “encapsuladas” y con escasa o nula interacción entre los habitantesque viven en cada espacio.Los espacios segregados de pobreza con escazas posibilidades de relaciones pluralesvan achicando el círculo de oportunidades laborales, educativas y socio-culturalesgenerando círculos de pobreza con empobrecimiento paulatino de los capitales socialesy comunitarios.Interesa aquí disparar ciertas reflexiones sobre las estrategias individuales y colectivasde los vecinos de dos zonas de la ciudad de Córdoba para vivir en barrios segregados yanalizar las posibilidades de relaciones plurales que se generan a partir de lasinterrelaciones de sus vecinos.
