Anhand Vermeers Arbeit mit der camera obscura, der Bilder der camera lucida, Diderots Wahrnehmungstheorie, Freuds Mikroskopie, der Bildrealitäten der Nanotechnologie wie der Neurowissenschaften entwerfen die Autoren kritische Perspektiven auf technische Bilder jeseints der evolutionären Logik eines Technikdeterminismus
