Warschau 1939: Der 13-jährige Mojsche Schuster kommt in das legendäre Waisenhaus des berühmten Kinderarztes Korczak. Dort lernt er Rejsele kennen und lieben, doch ihre Wege trennen sich, denn Mojsche ist stolz und will sich dem Terror und der Demütigung durch die Nazis nicht fügen - er taucht in den Untergrund ab. Rejsele leistet Widerstand auf ihre Weise, indem sie mit den Kindern geht, als das Waisenhaus 1940 ins Ghetto umgesiedelt wird. - Das Hörspiel nach dem gleichnamigen Roman von Karlijn Stoffels (BA 11/98), 1999 für den deutschen Jugendliteraturpreis nominiert, richtet sich keineswegs nur an Jugendliche, sondern sei hier auch für den Erwachsenen-Hörbuch-Bestand nachdrücklich empfohlen. Der Ich-Erzähler Mojsche, der hin- und hergerissen ist zwischen Stolz, Angst und dem Willen, etwas zu tun sowie seiner Liebe zu Rejsele ist eine glaubwürdige Identifikationsfigur für Jugendliche bei der Beschäftigung mit einem schwierigen Thema. Ein gutes, ausführliches Textheft hält die Hintergrundfakten zu der zwischen Fiktion und Dokumentation angesiedelten Geschichte bereit. Breit empfohlen. (ab 13)
