Darin muss sich Dom (15) nach dem überraschenden Tod seines Vaters an einem Herzinfarkt in der Nacht zusätzlich zu seiner Trauer mit allerlei Rätseln auseinandersetzen. Laut Notarzt soll er in den Armen einer Blondine gestorben sein, was Dom kaum fassen kann. Nach seiner Kenntnis wartete sein Vater, wie er auf die baldige Rückkehr der geliebten Mutter, die sie, abrupt und ohne Erklärung, wegen einer humanitären Hilfsaktion verlassen hatte. Außerdem kann er einem Kondolenzbrief entnehmen, dass er angeblich eine Schwester in Argentinien habe. - In dem abwechselnd aus den Perspektiven Doms und der seiner Lieblingstante Tifenn erzählten Roman wird nach und nach vieles aufgedeckt, was Doms Vater ihm verheimlicht hatte, um ihn nicht zu belasten. Außerdem werden im Finale mehrere überraschende Familiengeheimnisse enthüllt. Spannend, leicht zu lesen, mit tief ausgeloteten Figuren und eindrucksvollen Landschaftsbeschreibungen. Empfohlen.
