Ausgehend von Anregungen in Pa's de Jauja, einem Schlüsselroman des peruanischen Autors Edgardo Rivera Mart'nez von 1993, untersucht die vorliegende Studie im ersten Teil Elemente einer philosophischen Theorie der literarischen Transkription in kanonischen Texten von Jacques Derrida, Gilles Deleuze, Homi Bhabha, Stéphane Mallarmé und Paul Valéry. Im zweiten Teil wird die die Theorie anhand von sieben "exemplarischen Analysen" zugleich verdeutlicht und erweitert. Das Gewicht liegt auf Werken lateinamerikanischer Autoren. Die Einbeziehung von Günter Grass ( Ein weites Feld) unterstreicht den Anspruch der Theorie auf kulturübergreifende, universelle Geltung.
