Der Schlusssatz von Beethovens 9. Sinfonie ist das wohl bekannteste Werk der Musikgeschichte. Das Thema ist die Europahymne, das Autograf der gesamten Sinfonie gehört zum Weltdokumentenerbe der UNESCO. Dieses Doppelalbum mit dem Freiburger Barockorchester und der Zürcher Sing-Akademie unter dem ebenso engagierten wie versierten Pablo Heras-Casado präsentiert eine mitreißende Sicht auf dieses legendäre Werk.
