Rez.: Die Reihe der Harenberg Musikführer (Oper: BA 6/96; Konzert: BA 1/97; Kammermusik: BA 12/97; Klaviermusik: BA 8/98) findet mit diesem Band, der von der Gregorianik bis heute zu den Chorwerken mit großer Besetzung ebenso wie zum unbegleiteten Ensemblegesang weit über 500 Stücke bespricht, ihren Abschluss. Die Aufmachung ist aus den oben zitierten Führern hinreichend bekannt, besonders hervorgehoben sei auch hier wieder der informative Anhang mit Aufsätzen zu gregorianischem Choral und Volksliedbearbeitung, Fachworterläuterungen, Komponisten-Chronologie, Werk- und Personregister. Angeboten werden auch die relevanten Kirchentexte mit deutscher Übertragung. Berücksichtigt man, dass der Oehlmann ("Reclams Chormusik- und Oratorienführer", BA 9/99) auch fast 50 DM kostet, so spricht das Ausstattungs-Plus und die gute Orientierungsmöglicheit bei gleicher Aktualität für die zusätzliche Anschaffung, auch in Hinblick auf die parallel erscheinende 12 CD-Edition (MI 12/99). Ein umfangreicher "Oratorien- und Chormusikführer" (zur Begutachtung vorgesehen) soll in diesen Tagen bei Bärenreiter/Metzler erscheinen. (2 A)
