Im Rahmen dieses Handbuches soll versucht werden, die wichtigsten in der Bundesrepublik üblichen Zusatzleistungen zu beschreiben, auf ihre Wirksamkeit zu prüfen und in das System der betrieblichen Vergütungs- und Sozialpolitik einzuordnen. Wir mußten uns dabei beschränken und konnten nicht alle der mehr als 200 in der Bundesrepublik vorkommenden Leistungen darstellen, im Register am Ende des Buches wurde angestrebt, zumindest von der Aufzählung her eine Vollständigkeit zu erreichen. Im Literaturverzeichnis, und zum Teil bei den Einzeldarstellungen, ist auf weiterführende Literatur hingewiesen worden. Es wurden bei allen Darstellungen nicht nur Einzelaspekte herausgegriffen, sondern alle Zusatz- und Sozialleistungen im volkswirtschaftlichen, betriebswirtschaftlichen, soziologischen und rechtlichen Zusammenhang gesehen. Aus Platzgründen ist das nicht immer umfassend möglich gewesen; auch deshalb ist die Vertiefung durch weiterführende Literatur sehr oft notwendig. Weiter wurde versucht, aus der Praxis heraus realitätsnah zu argumentieren. Wir danken allen, die uns geholfen haben, dieses Buch zu schreiben. Die Verfasser Gummersbach, August 1973 1. Allgemein 1.1 Zur Definition der Zusatz- und Sozialleistungen Der in diesem Handbuch verwendete Begriff der betrieblichen Zusatz- und Sozialleistungen wird umfassend verstanden. Es mag manchmal strittig sein, ob die eine oder andere genannte Leistung noch unter dem Begriff eingeordnet werden kann oder sollte. Dabei sind die Grenzen zwischen dem laut Arbeitsvertrag zu vergütenden Leistungsentgelt im engeren Sinne, also Lohn bzw. Gehalt einerseits und den als Zusatz zum Entgelt gewährten Leistungen des Unternehmens andererseits, unter Umstanden als fließend anzusehen
