Michael Gradias, ein langjähriger und erfahrener Buchautor zu Grafik und Fotografie, zeigt in dem speziell für Einsteiger ausgerichteten Buch die vielfältigen Möglichkeiten von Lightroom. Da Lightroom die Bilder in Datenbankstrukturen verwaltet, beschreibt er in 2 Kapiteln sehr ausführlich die Kataloge sowie später auf über 20 Seiten das Entwicklungsmodul. Die weitere Bearbeitung mit Tonwerten, Objektivkorrekturen, Effekte und Vorgaben nehmen in Summe weiter rund 130 Seiten ein. Die Beispielbilder können im Internet heruntergeladen werden. Was leider gänzlich fehlt, das sind Hinweise und Erklärungen zur Einrichtung von Lightroom, denn der Bedarf variiert je nach Monitorgröße. Es fehlt zum 'Beispiel auch der Solomodus, Darstellung auf 2 Monitoren oder z.B. die, wenn schon angesprochen, genaueren Erläuterungen zu den Kompositionshilfen (Goldener Schnitt usw. - allein ein Satz zum Horizont bei Landschaftsaufnahmen ist hier zu wenig). Fazit: In Summe werden hier für Einsteiger übersichtlich und gut verständlich die verschiedenen Module vorgestellt und die grundlegenden Vorgehensweisen erklärt. (2)
