Bekannte Künstler*innen haben sich mit dem Turmbau und der Sprachverwirrung durch Gott in großformatigen, monumentalen Gemälden auseinandergesetzt und die Erzählung neu interpretiert. Ausgehend von einem Ziegelstein vom Turm zu Babel begibt sich das Museum auf die Spuren der wissenschaftlichen Beschäftigung mit dem antiken Bauwerk. Babel und Babylon steht neben den architektonischen Meisterleistungen aber auch für die Überheblichkeit des Menschen, die "verruchte" und gefährliche Seite Babylons ist in der Bibel bekannt.
