Der russische Maler und Kunsthistoriker Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944) gilt als Wegbereiter der abstrakten Kunst. Anlässlich Kandinskys 150. Geburtstag am 16. Dezember 2016 erscheint jetzt eine Sammlung von Texten, Briefen und ausgewählten Schriften aus seiner Zeit am Bauhaus (1922-1933), die seine Betätigungen als Künstler und Pädagoge nachzeichnen, aber auch seine schriftstellerische Bandbreite belegen. Der Band vereinigt dabei zu Lebzeiten publizierte Texte ebenso wie Briefe und andere bisher unveröffentlichte Dokumente zu seiner Person: Dieser Band zeigt erstmals die schriftstellerische Vielfalt Kandinskys vor allem während seiner Zeit am Bauhaus. Darüber hinaus werden ein bisher unveröffentlichtes grafologisches Gutachten und ein Horoskop Kandinskys sowie zwei Dokumente vorgestellt, die seine lebenslange Neigung zu okkulten Weltbildern und Anschauungen belegen, aber bisher von der Forschung vergessen wurden
