Dem Kaiser Napoléon III., seiner Frau Eugénie, seinem Sohn Napoléon Eugène, seinem Vetter Napoléon Joseph (der "Plonplon" genannt wurde), seinem Ministerpräsident Émile Ollivier und seinem Außenminister Agénor de Gramond wird der Hintern von Allegorien Preußens, beziehungsweise Bayerns, Württembergs, Sachsens, Hessens und Badens versohlt. Ein Soldat steht währenddessen in Österreich Wache, während die Allegorie der Kirche nach Rome mit dem Konkordat zurückgeht. Anspielung auf das Konkordat von 1855, das 1870 von Österreich aufgekündigt wurde.
