Entstehung und theoretische Ziele 1. "Physikdidaktik - eine Einführung" ist aus einer Vorlesung entstanden, die ich seit dem Wintersemester 1979 an der Universität Orientierung Würzburg jährlich abhalte. Diese Vorlesung orientierte sich zunächst an "Unterricht Physik" (Duit, Häußler & Kircher, 1981), einer Einführung in die Physikdidaktik, die während meiner Zeit am Institut für die Pädagogik der Naturwissenschaften (IPN) in Kiel entstanden ist. War diese Einführung vor allem an der Curriculumtheorie orientiert, habe ich in vorliegendem Werk zur Legitimation des Physikunterrichts auch Argumente herangezogen, die der bildungstheoretischen Tradition entstammen. Dies wird beispielsweise in Kapitel 2 "Ziele im Physikunterricht" deutlich, das einerseits von Klatkis (1963) bildungstheoretischer Sicht einer didaktischen Analyse und andererseits von Häußler & Lauterbachs (1976) Auffassungen, wie physikalische Ziele und Inhalte zusammenhängen, geprägt ist. Mit dieser Physikdidaktik möchte ich eine implizite Würdigung Martin Wagenscheins verbinden, dem wichtigsten Vertreter der bildungstheoretischen Tradition in der Physikdidaktik: Er hat die neue, wissenschaftliche, aber immer noch um ihre Anerkennung ringende Physikdidaktik nach dem 2. Weltkrieg auf den Weg gebracht. 2. Eine Physikdidaktik muss den theoretischen Rahmen des Physiklehrens und -lernens bereitstellen. Das bedeutet z. B. , dass sich Studentinnen und Studenten die aktuellen theoretischen Grundlagen der Adressaten Physikdidaktik aneignen können, die für einen erfolgreichen Abschluss ihrer Physiklehrerausbildung an der Hochschule nötig sind. Darüber hinaus muss eine Physikdidaktik Handlungswissen für eine möglichst erfolgreiche Unterrichtspraxis begründen und vermitteln
