    Content: Davon ausgehend, dass Angst nicht erst bei der Ausübung sportlicher Handlungen bedeutsam ist, sondern bereits Einfluss auf die Zuwendung zum Sport hat, werden die Grundlagen einer Operationalisierung sportbezogener Aengstlichkeit bei Kindern erarbeitet. Um den besonderen Gegebenheiten des Handlungsfeldes Sport Rechnung zu tragen, wird zunächst ein Situationskonzept entwickelt und die Situation als Analyseeinheit herausgestellt. Sodann erfolgt eine Grundlegung der Angstforschung durch emotionstheoretische Erörterungen. Das Angstkonstrukt wird nach aussen abgegrenzt und nach innen differenziert. Ein transaktionales Modell bildet schliesslich den Ausgangspunkt einer empirischen Studie, in der fünf verschiedene Dimensionen sportbezogener Ängstlichkeit exploriert werden.
