Ein Elektronik-Praktikum soll Studierenden der Informatik durch experimentelles Arbeiten eine Einführung in die Wirkungsweise der Grundbausteine digitaler, elektronischer Rechenanlagen geben. Dementsprechend erläutert die erste Gruppe von Aufgaben die Wirkungsweise der Halbleiter-Bauelemente Dioden, Transistoren und Feldeffekttransistoren. Das Schwergewicht liegt dabei auf dem Erarbeiten und Auswerten von Kennlinien, mit denen das Verhalten dieser Bauelemente in Schaltungen erklärt und verstanden werden kann. Derartige Schaltungen, die der Realisierung logischer Verknüpfungen dienen, werden in einer zweiten Aufgabengruppe im Hinblick auf wichtige Paramater wie Schaltzeiten, maximal erreichbare Taktfrequenzen, Störsicherheit und Leistungsverbrauch untersucht. Dabei werden vergleichende Aussagen über die heute industriell entwickelten Schaltkreistechniken erarbeitet. In einer dritten Aufgabengruppe werden schließlich Schaltungen und Materialien mit Speicherverhalten - Flipflop, Tunneldiode und Ferritkern - untersucht. Da sich dieses Praktikum nicht in erster Linie an Studierende der Elektrotechnik wendet, beginnt jede Aufgabe mit einer kurzen und möglichst einfachen Erläuterung der physikalischen oder technischen Grundlagen, um das Verständnis der Messungen und Ergebnisse, im folgenden kursiv gesetzt, zu erleichtern. Ausführliche Erklärungen müssen jedoch der einschlägigen Fachliteratur überlassen bleiben
