    Content: Im Vergleich zur zuletzt besprochenen Auflage (ID-A 38/12) wurde der Umfang um ca. 25 Seiten reduziert und neben den üblichen Aktualisierungen sind schwerpunktmäßig Bearbeitungen im Kapitel "Venedig & Venetien erkunden" festzustellen. Der Reiseführer deckt vorwiegend Venedig ab und streift nur die nähere Umgebung (u.a. mit Ausflügen nach Padua, Vincenza, Verona), sodass Venetien eher unterrepräsentiert ist. Sehr hilfreich ist die Einführung, die nicht nur die wesentlichen Sehenswürdigkeiten zusammenfasst, sondern auch viele Informationen zur Reiseplanung enthält (u.a. Reisen mit Kindern) sowie mehrere Stadtspaziergänge. Ergänzt wird dies durch zahlreiche Informationen zur Stadt in Geschichte, Kunst, Kultur und Gegenwart. Die Informationen zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten sind eher knapp gehalten. Dafür sind sehr viele Anregungen und Tipps enthalten, v.a. zu Sehenswertem, Einkehr, Einkaufen, Unterhaltung, Übernachtung. Reihenüblich sehr textlastig. Aktuell neben dem bildlastigen Vis-à-vis von S. Boulton (ID-A 19/17) und dem Reisehandbuch "Venetien" von E. Fohrer (M. Müller; ID-A 8/17) mit 90 S. zu Venedig.
