Josef F. Haschke widmet sich in diesem Buch der offenbar krisenhaften Vertrauensbeziehung zwischen Bürgern und Politikern, indem er untersucht, wie politische Vertrauens- bzw. Misstrauensurteile entstehen und wie sie strukturell zusammengesetzt sind. Ergebnis der empirischen Prüfung im Rahmen einer qualitativen Interviewstudie ist eine Typologie politischer Vertrauensurteile: Sie zeigt die lebensweltliche Heterogenität des Politikervertrauens entlang politischer Milieus und relativiert die These einer umfassenden politischen Vertrauenskrise.
