Zehn Theoriekapitel reflektieren aus der Perspektive unterschiedlicher Disziplinen die globalen Herausforderungen, zu deren Bewältigung in den Beispielen jeweils lokale Ansätze gefunden werden: Migration und Mobilität, soziale Ungleichheit und soziale Gerechtigkeit, veränderte Haushaltsstrukturen, (Re-)Konstruktionen von Familie, neue Technologien und die Neuverteilung von Care-Aufgaben.
