Untersucht werden sollte ein möglicher Zusammenhang von Umweltbela stungen, wie militärischem Fluglärm, zum psychischen und somatischen Befinden von Kindern und Jugendlichen. Der Einfluß dieser physikali schen Belastung, die sich auch im Erleben der Kinder als subjektives Ge störtsein und teilweise auch in einem Gefühl der Bedrohung widerspie gelt, sollte verglichen werden mit der Bedeutsamkeit von belastenden Ri sikofaktoren in der direkten psychosozialen Umgebung der Kinder. Es zeigte sich, daß sowohl bei psychischen als auch bei psychosomati schen Störungen das direkte psychosoziale Umfeld der Kinder einen be deutsameren Einfluß hat. Darüberhinaus ist jedoch bei jüngeren Kindern eine erhöhte Ängstlichkeit als Folge der miltärischen Tiefflugtätigkeit zu erkennen. Außerdem führt militärischer Tieffluglärm bei Kindern und Ju gendlichen zu verstärkter psychophysiologischer Aktiviertheit, was sich in einer höheren Herzschlagfrequenz, einem erhöhten Hautleitfähigkeits-Ni veau und einer größeren Zahl an Hautleitfähigkeits-Spontanfluktuationen erkennen läßt. Auch die Adaptationsfähigkeit des Blutdrucks an Streßrei ze ist bei den Mädchen im lärmbelasteten Gebiet reduziert. Diese Effekte sind unabhängig vom Einfluß aller anderen möglichen belastenden Faktoren nachzuweisen. Sie sind also nicht zu erklären als Auswirkungen einer verstärkten Besorgnis der Kinder oder ihrer Familien um die eigene Gesundheit, sondern sind zu verstehen als direkte Auswir kungen der schnell ansteigenden und sehr hohen Schalldruckbelastungen, die neben einer Hörempfindung über zentralnervöse Verschaltungen zu einer Miterregung vegetativer Zentren im Zwischenhirnbereich führen (Spreng 1984)
