?Wie können in zeitgenössischen (Wissens-)Gesellschaften Qualität und Legitimität politischer Entscheidungen gewährleistet und verbessert werden? Dazu wird seit einigen Jahren nicht nur in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland vermehrt die Einbeziehung zusätzlicher Akteure in die politische Willensbildung und Entscheidungsfindung jenseits repräsentativ-demokratischer Institutionen und Verfahren gefordert.
