Die Möglichkeiten, Storys in Computerspielen zu erzählen, sind durch herrschende Konventionen vorgegeben. Diese Arbeit zeigt, wie diese Konventionen entstanden sind und bietet einen Überblick über aktuelle alternative Wege, Storys in Computerspielen zu erzählen. Anhand von den Beispielen Portal 2, Braid, Dinner, Date, Trauma und Dear Esther werden die Unterschiede zu erfolgreichen Mainstreamtiteln der letzten 30 Jahre erläutert.
