Die Arbeit untersucht die Auswirkungen der Verjährung auf die Bürgschaft, die Gesamtschuld und den Schuldbeitritt. Anlass für die Untersuchung gaben die mit der Schuldrechtsreform im Jahre 2002 einhergehenden Änderungen des Verjährungsrechts, deren Folgen bisher nur fragmentarisch erörtert worden sind. In drei Abschnitten widmet sich der Verfasser eingehend dem Verjährungsbeginn, der Durchsetzbarkeit und den Regressansprüchen. Nach ausführlicher Analyse gelangt er zu dem Ergebnis, dass die Verjährungsreform im Hinblick auf die Mehrpersonenkonstellationen de lege lata nur als Teilerfolg gewertet werden kann. Der Autor plädiert für eine Angleichung des Gesamtschuldregresses an den Beauftragtenregress de lege ferenda und schließt seine Ausführungen mit einem Gesetzesvorschlag ab.
