Bei den überaus zahlreichen Schaltungsarten der Drehstrom-Kollektor-Nebenschluß motoren {DKNM. ) lassen sich im allgemeinen 2 Hauptgruppen unterscheiden: das seiner Größe nach bei jeder Tourenstufe annähernd konstante, synchron umlaufende Dreh feld kann von einer gesonderten Erregerwicklung erzeugt werden, die dann natur gemäß nur den Erregerstrom zu führen hat, oder die transformatorische Wechselwirkung zwischen Stator und Rotor kann dazu benutzt werden, das erforderliche Nebenschlußfeld auszubilden. Diese bisher gebräuchlichste Schaltungsweise wurde in ihren Grundzügen 1 schon von Görges ) im Jahre 1891 angegeben; sie wurde besonders durch die Arbeiten 2 von Winter und Dr. Eichberg ) ausgebildet und in die Technik eingeführt. Die Regelung der Umlaufszahl erfolgt bei den Motoren dieser Gruppe in der Weise, daß die Ständer oder Ankerwicklung oder auch beide Wicklungen an regelbare Spannungen gelegt werden, oder daß bei konstant gehaltener äußerer Spannung die effektive Windungszahl einer der Wicklungen geändert wird. Auf jeden Fall spielen sich alle Schaltvorgänge in den Arbeits strom führenden Kreisen der Maschine, und zwar fast immer im Anker kreise, ab, so daß alle. Schalt- und Regulierapparate für den Arbeitsstrom bemessen sein müssen. Bei kleineren Leistungen spielt das keine Rolle; sobald man aber zu einigermaßen großen Einheiten übergeht, wachsen die Ankerströme bei der notwendig begrenzten Rotorspannung so an, daß die erforderlichen Schaltapparate praktisch ganz unmögliche Dimensionen annehmen. Sollte der DKNM. also für große regelbare Antriebe qberhaupt noch als ernster Kon kurrent gelten, so mußte unbedingt der ganze Reguliermechanismus aus den Arbeits stromkreisen heraus verlegt werden. 3 Der Weg dazu wurde von Dr
