Mit einer kurzen Einführung in die Geschichte der Rose und ihrer Rolle in der Kunst, Literatur, Poesie, Folklore und Gartenkunst beginnt dieser großformatige Bildband, dann folgen wunderbare opulente und detaillierte Aquarelle von Rosen in verschiedenen Stadien von Blüte und Verfall - zunächst jeweils auf einer Seite, dann auf einer Doppelseite. Die mehrfach ausgezeichnete Künstlerin, die 2015 bereits einen Bildband "Überwältigende Blüten" in ähnlicher Manier in diesem Verlag veröffentlicht hat (hier nicht besprochen), hat ihre Bilder zusätzlich mit persönlichen Aussagen zur Malsituation versehen. Die Größe und das Format der Originalbilder finden sich am Schluss und machen deutlich, wie besonders die Bilder sind. Für Rosenliebhaber und Künstler gleichermaßen interessant. In der künstlerischen Umsetzung vergleichbar mit der Qualität von Sarah Simblet (ID-A 51/10), nur weniger als Anleitung, sondern als Anregung, aber auf jeden Fall etwas fürs Auge.
