Begleitband zur Immendorff-Retrospektive innerhalb der Reihe "Akademos" des Museums Küppersmühle in Düsseldorf (4.12.2007 - 2.03.2008), in der die Werke Düsseldorfer Akademieprofessoren vorgestellt werden (frühere Bände hier nicht besprochen). Der kartonierte Band fasst im umfangreichen farbigen Bildteil Immendorff'sche Bilderwelten nach Jahrzehnten zusammen, verzichtet auf ausführliche Texte und würdigt den ehemaligen Studenten, später Professor der Düsseldorfer Akademie sowie Schüler von J. Beuys in Statements, kurzen Essays und einem Interview als Künstler und als Mensch. Keine aufwendige kunsttheoretische bzw. -historische Auseinandersetzung mit dem Werk des kürzlich verstorbenen Malerfürsten, sondern ehe eine Hommage an den Freund und Kollegen (das Interview gab M. Lüpertz, der jetzige Rektor der Akademie). Wie "Immendorff - Bilder" (ID 14/02) und "Jörg Immendorff - Male Lago" (ID 3/06) eine kompakte und preiswerte Monografie, die schon ab mittleren Bibliotheken einsetzbar ist. (2)
