Die vorliegende Auswahl aus der vom Editor publizierten Gesamtausgabe der Korrespondenz Blumhardts (7 Bände 1993-2001, über 2.800 Dokumente) gibt ein Bild der Blumhardtschen Anschauungen vom Ursprung der Krankheiten, von der Macht des Gebets, von geistlichem Neuanfang und Heilungen seelischer und körperlicher Gebrechen. Das in Möttlingen und Bad Boll Erlebte führt ihn zu einer Theologie der Hoffnung, zur Naherwartung einer neuen Ausgießung des Heiligen Geistes über die ganze Welt. Ausführliche Erläuterungen ergänzen den Band. Der Leser ist eingeladen, in ein Gespräch mit Blumhardt einzutreten, kritisch zu fragen, zuzuhören, sich der Grenzen des anderen und auch der eigenen bewusst zu werden.
