Politischer Protest und Gewalt sind in der Vergangenheit vielfach zum Gegenstand historischer, soziologischer und politikwissenschaftlicher Forschung geworden, ohne dass allerdings ihr spezifischer stadträumlicher Kontext Berücksichtigung gefunden hätte. Sind stadträumliche Veränderungen ursächlich für den Ausbruch von Gewalt im urbanen Kontext?
