Gleich zeitig bemerkt sie jedoch, daß ihr im Verlauf der psychoanalytischen Kur von dem Arzt, der jeder Art von Symbolik eine besonders große Bedeutung beimaß, sehr scharf eingeprägt wurde, daß Schachteln eben ein Symbol für Schwangerschaft darstellen. Nach einer solchen Vorschulung ist es weiter nicht zu verwundern, daß die Patientin auch weiter im Sinne der ange züchteten Symbole träumt. - Der ganze Vorgang erinnert an den bekannten Witz, in dem ein »Gedankenleser« in der Eisenbahn vor seinen Fahrt genossen seine Kunst zeigen will und seinem Nachbarn sagt: »Sie fahren jetzt zur Leipziger Messe, um dort einen großen Posten Pelze einzukaufen und dann Konkurs anzusagen. « Worauf der Nachbar erwidert: »Das hatte ich mir zwar nicht gedacht; aber sie bringen mich auf eine gute Idee. « 5) S.
