Der Sammelband stellt Berichte aus der pädagogischen Geschlechterforschung vor, die zum einen grundlegende Perspektiven zur ethnographischen Methodologie formulieren und zum anderen konkrete Forschungsergebnisse aus ethnographischen Projekten im Kontext von Kindheit und Jugend präsentieren. Dabei geht es unter anderem um ein theoretisches Verständnis von Differenzen und Unterscheidungspraktiken oder auch um die Berücksichtigung der normativen Verstricktheit der Forschenden in Beobachtungssituationen.
