Heinz-Günter Prager (geb. 1944 in Herne, lebt und arbeitet in Köln und Plomeur, Frankreich) gehört zu den wichtigsten Bildhauern seiner Generation. Mit seinen Skulpturen denkt er grundsätzlich über den Raum nach, dabei sind die Linien, der Körper, die Gewichte und die Verortung zentrale Themen. Alle Arbeiten sind stets von theoretischen Überlegungen begleitet, Prager überlässt fast nichts dem Zufall. Neben seinem plastischen OEuvre hat der Künstler ein ebenso spannendes zeichnerisches Werk entwickelt. Eugen Gomringer hat es so beschrieben: „es ist etwas einsames um dieses in sich geschlossene grafische werk … es ist resultat einer starken, unabhängigen, auch unkonventionellen persönlichkeit …“ Das Buch umfasst 120 Zeichnungen, die zwischen 1966 und 2018 entstanden sind. Das Spektrum reicht von skulpturalen Überlegungen bis hin zu sehr freien Ausführungen in unterschiedlichen Techniken wie Bleistift, Tinte, Gouache, Ölfarbe, Fettstift oder Collage
