Der französische Texter Jean-David Morvan (zuletzt "Univerne", ID-A 26/13) ist ein Garant für originelle Comic-Ideen, so auch hier: Kommissar Ney Quitsou stellt sich gleich als Fuchs vor, und rät dem Leser, nicht in das typische Klischee "Fuchs gleich listig und schlau" zu verfallen, sondern sich unvoreingenommen auf eine Welt einzulassen, in der Tiere wie Menschen agieren und das Zusammenleben nur funktioniert, weil die Instinkte durch gesellschaftliche Normen (und Laster!) abgelöst wurden. In dieser Situation legen die im Wildbach gefundenen Knochen mit den deutlichen Fraßspuren ein undenkbares Verbrechen nahe: Fressen Tiere erneut andere Tiere? Doch was soll das für eine Spezies sein, von welchem Tier stammen die Knochen? Was wie ein Agatha-Christie-Fall unter Tieren in ländlicher Idylle beginnt, weitet sich zu einem Noir-Krimi im lasterhaften Großstadtdschungel mit einem tierisch integren Helden, kongenial in Farbgebung und mit detailreichen Panels versehen durch den Chinesen Du Yu. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Das Ende von Band 1 kommt viel zu früh und es lässt viel Raum für Fortsetzungen. Zugreifen!
