Der erste Hamburger Ravensbrück-Prozess gehört zu den großen, jedoch wenig erforschten west-allierten KZ-Prozessen der unmittelbaren Nachkriegszeit. Angeklagt waren sieben Frauen und neun Männer des Frauen-Konzentrationslagers Ravensbrück. Die Studie untersucht die Funktion und Wirkung der Kategorie Geschlecht zwischen krimineller Schuld und Deutungsmustern von NS-Täterschaft. Im Mittelpunkt steht das Wechselverhältnis zwischen strafrechtlicher Rekonstruktion und gesellschaftlicher Repräsentation. Analysiert wird das Entstehen bestialisierender oder viktimisierender Geschlechterbilder vor Gericht und deren entkonkretisierende und entpolitisierende Entfaltung im bundesdeutschen NS-Verbrecherdiskurs.
