Erzählt aus der Warte derer, die ausbrachen, die gingen, um ihr Selbst zu retten und trotzdem trauerten, die für ihre Partner zwar keine Liebe mehr, aber immer noch fürsorgliche Gefühle empfanden, die sich lieber trennten, als in Einsamkeit und Sehnsucht zu verharren. Vorausgegangen waren oft Jahre der Negativität, Passivität, fehlender Aufmerksamkeit des Partners, die resignieren ließen. Viele Beziehungen geraten in einen Trott der Unaufmerksamkeit und Gleichgültigkeit und statt des identitätsstabilisierenden Gefühls, für den Partner etwas Besonderes und Bedeutsames zu sein, wahrgenommen zu werden, entstehen Ängste, "ausradiert" zu werden. Der Text spiegelt tiefes Wissen über Beziehungen, eingewebt Stoffe norwegischer Literatur (Karl Ove Knausgard ...) und ist weniger Ratgeber als fein formulierter, Verständnis erweiternder Denkanstoß.
