Note:
Für das Imperium entwickelt Galen Erso den Todesstern, doch er versteckt eine Schwachstelle. Um diese zu finden, brauchen die Rebellen Galens Tochter Jyn, die ihren Vater 15 Jahre nicht gesehen hat. J. Housers (zuletzt "Orphan Black 2 : Helsinki", ID-B 5/17) Filmadaption lehnt sich in den sehr realistischen Zeichnungen von E. Laiso (zuletzt "Civil War II Band 2 : Krieg der Götter"), O. Bazaldua und P. Villanelli auch visuell stark an die Vorlage an. Ohne Abtrennung vorangestellt ist ein Special von Duane Swierczynski (zuletzt besprochen "Der Wärter", ID-A 20/12), das Cassian Andors und K-2SOs Vorgeschichte zum Film erzählt, minimal stilisierter als der Hauptteil von Fernando Blanco (zuletzt 2017 "Batman - Detective Comics 8 : Die Batman-Cops") gestaltet. Häufige Szenenwechsel und schnelles Erzähltempo mit vielfältiger Panelgestaltung verlangen aufmerksames Lesen. Fehlendes Star-Wars-Vorwissen erschwert die Lektüre, macht sie aber nicht unmöglich. Analog zum Film sind viele Kampf- und Kriegsszenen enthalten. Als beinahe reine Filmadaption kein Muss, eher eine Ergänzung und für Fans empfohlen. Katja Ganzenmüller
