Neben den Bildern im rassistischen „Das Boot ist voll“-Diskurs, welche in Cord Pagenstechers Beitrag in diesem Band thematisiert werden, zeigt Eva Leitolf in ihren Bildern die vermeintlich idyllischen, ruhigen Tatorte des tagtäglich stattfindenden Rassismus in Deutschland. Diese sind damit insofern als Ergänzung zu den Bildern brennender Flüchtlingslager zu sehen, da Eva Leitolf damit einerseits die strukturellen Aspekte von Rassismus sowie andererseits dessen Normalisierung durch die Dominanzgesellschaft sichtbar macht. Das Bild ist demnach auch als Werkzeug für die Betrachtenden intendiert, welches zum Hinterfragen des Bildkonsums und zum Bruch im eigenen Denken von „Normalität“ und letztendlich zu kritischem Umgang mit Bildwelten anregen kann.
