Kollektivfilm französischer Filmemacher über den Vietnamkrieg, der in in der Tendenz geschlossenen, formal und inhaltlich aber recht unterschiedlichen Episoden beschrieben und analysiert wird. Der "Omnibus-Film" sollte seinerzeit die Solidarität der beteiligten Filmschaffenden mit dem vietnamesischen Volk und seinem Kampf zum Ausdruck bringen und ist in diesem Sinn ebenso engagiert wie parteiisch. Nach einer Einführung folgen die Episoden "Bomben auf Hanoi" ("Bomb Hanoi"), "Eine Parade ist eine Parade" ("A Parade is a Parade"), "Johnson weint" ("Johnson pleure"), "Hermann Kahn" ("Claude Ridder"), "Flash-Back" ("Flash-Back"), "Kamera-Auge" ("Camera Eye"), "Victor Charlie" ("Victor Charlie"), "Warum wir kämpfen" ("Why we fight"), "Fidel Castro" ("Fidel Castro"), "Vertigo" ("Vertigo") und "Ann-Uyen" ("Ann-Uyen"). Im sich anschließenden Finale werden Menschenmassen in Vietnam, Europa und in den USA gezeigt. Einen sehr literarischen Kommentar spricht vorzüglich der Schauspieler Bernard Fresson.
