H. Lemme ist hier bereits mit einigen Titeln zu Technik und Bau von E-Gitarren vertreten (zuletzt "Elektrogitarren", ID-B 25/03). Auch dieses Buch wendet sich an Gitarristen, die ein gründliches Maß an (elektro-)technischen Fertigkeiten besitzen und die ihr Instrument klanglich verändern oder verbessern wollen. Dabei geht es vor allem um die Tonabnehmer (Pick-ups) und die Klang- und Lautstärkenregler (Potentiometer) der Instrumente. Nach einer längeren Einführung in die technischen Grundlagen beschäftigt sich Lemme mit den Instrumententypen der verschiedenen Hersteller, mit ihren klanglichen Eigenschaften und ihrer Konstruktion sowie mit den Anforderungen, vor die Instrumentenbastler jeweils gestellt werden. Insgesamt eine für die Zielgruppe sehr gute Handreichung mit einer Fülle von kompetenten Informationen, Abbildungen und Schaltdiagrammen. Neben M. Schneider: "Guitar - Service Manual" (ID-B 31/09).
