Nikola Leufer entwickelt eine soziologische Sprache zur Beschreibung von „Kontextwechseln“ als mögliche Schwierigkeit bei der Bearbeitung realitätsbezogener Aufgaben im Mathematikunterricht. Die Erarbeitung dieser Sprache erfordert einen dialektischen Prozess von Theoriearbeit und empirischem Abgleich, den die Autorin mit konkreten Aufgaben- und Bearbeitungsbeispielen einer Interviewstudie illustriert. Aus der theoriegeleiteten Analyse der Beispiele mithilfe der Arbeiten Basil Bernsteins ergeben sich grundsätzliche Überlegungen zu (gegebenenfalls milieuspezifischen) Strategien im Umgang mit Diskursveränderungen im Mathematikunterricht.
